About this boat
Bilgin is a Turkish yard with a reputation for building heavy, and this ninety-eight-footer from 2006, refitted in 2021, shows it: solid construction, a very wide saloon and two full-beam master cabins rather than one master and a set of smaller rooms. Four cabins and four bathrooms sleep eight overnight; twenty guests come aboard for a day charter. The centre of the boat is the sundeck, which carries an outdoor dining area, a jacuzzi and a bar with a sound system — the layout of a yacht designed for entertaining at anchor rather than for covering distance. That suits her cruising speed of twelve knots, and it suits the water her marina serves: from Ao Po Grand Marina the sheltered anchorages of Phang Nga Bay and Koh Hong, the channel by Koh Yao and the Krabi side on a longer day are all within reach without a long passage.
The toys are extensive — a jet ski, a kayak, paddleboards, a towable, snorkelling and fishing gear. Four hundred thousand baht a day. She is a good answer for a group of eight taking several nights aboard, or a company hosting twenty guests where the boat is the venue. She is a poor answer for anyone chasing distance or speed, and for small groups who will pay superyacht money for a deck they cannot fill.
A note on how a boat like this is actually used over several days: the sundeck becomes the living room and the saloon becomes the shelter from the afternoon heat, so the deck plan matters more than the cabin count once you are aboard. - If you ask to change the departure point, the relocation is agreed separately — the boat is berthed where it is berthed, and moving it costs time and fuel.
