What makes a charter luxury rather than just large?

Luxury yacht charter in Phuket starts from ฿100,000 a day for the whole yacht with its crew, and thirteen yachts are in this class; each one's rates by season are on its own page.

Size is not the criterion here, and that is deliberate. Anything from 92 feet upward is a superyacht with its own page. Luxury on this site means a yacht up to 90 feet where the finish, the crew and the cabins are of a standard the length alone would not predict.

What they share is that the money goes into the interior and the service rather than into deck area: a 78-foot Princess with four en-suite cabins is not carrying more guests than a cheaper yacht of the same length, it is carrying them better. If your priority is space for a large group, a motor yacht or a power catamaran will serve you at a fraction of these rates, and we will say so.

All three of our yachts are in this class

Technema 89 Say Yes and Ferretti 80 Sofia leave from Chalong Pier, Beluga 88 from Ao Po Grand Marina. Each sails with a captain, a hostess, two deckhands and a charter manager, and on a full day the Thai lunch can be swapped for a private chef.

Say Yes and Sofia cost less than several shorter yachts in this class — the 78-foot Princess 78 starts at ฿175,000 and the 72-foot Princess S72 KATI S at ฿235,000. Say Yes has three decks and takes thirty guests by day; Sofia takes twenty-five with four en-suite cabins; Beluga 88 has five bathrooms for eight overnight.

What is included in a luxury yacht charter?

The whole yacht, the captain and crew, soft drinks and passenger insurance are in the rate on every day charter here. The rest depends on the yacht:

• Charter manager aboard — Technema 89 Say Yes, Ferretti 80 Sofia and Beluga 88.
• Private chef — part of the crew of eleven on Pisces 85; on request instead of the Thai lunch on Say Yes, Sofia and Beluga 88, and included with all meals on their overnight charters.
• Gyro stabiliser — Princess 78 W.J.Lip, Princess 78 Maritimus, Princess S65 KATI and Princess S72 KATI S.
• Water toys — a water slide on Say Yes, Sofia and Beluga 88; a jet ski included on Princess 78 W.J.Lip and a jet surf on Pisces 85; elsewhere a jet ski is an extra, charged per session.
• Hotel transfer — included on Beluga 88, Maha Bhetra, both Princess 78s at Boat Lagoon, the S-line Princesses and Pisces 85, and on Sofia for full days.

The other ten

Leopard 90 Moon Glider from ฿190,000 cruises at twenty-five knots, the fastest yacht in this class. Maha Bhetra from ฿202,000 is Thai-built with interiors by the architect behind the Aman resorts. Olympia 76 from ฿180,000 takes twenty guests by day.

Princess 78 from ฿175,000 has four en-suite cabins. Princess S65 KATI from ฿190,000 has a shallow draft and an advanced stabilisation system. Princess 78 W.J.Lip and Princess 78 Maritimus, both from ฿240,000, are separate yachts, each with a gyro stabiliser and a marina buggy.

Princess S72 KATI S from ฿235,000 was built in 2025. Pisces 85 from ฿250,000 is a 26-metre power catamaran built in 2026 for up to eighty-five guests, with a crew of eleven including a private chef; it is chartered by the day. And Sunreef 60 E-MOTION from ฿571,800 is the outlier: a hybrid-electric sailing catamaran chartered by the week or from three days.

Stabilisers, and why they matter at this length

Four of the thirteen carry a gyro stabiliser, and on yachts of this size it does more work than on a superyacht. A hull of 65 to 78 feet rolls more readily at anchor than one of a hundred feet, so the gyro on the two Princess 78s at Boat Lagoon and on the S-line Princesses change the part of the day most guests remember: lunch is served on a level table, the swim platform stops rising and falling, and people who normally feel unsteady when a boat sits at anchor simply do not. If anyone in your group is uneasy on the water, that equipment is worth more than any other line on the specification sheet.

A day out, or several nights?

Both work, and the answer narrows the list immediately. For a day charter with twenty to thirty guests, Technema 89 Say Yes takes the most people of any yacht in this class, with Ferretti 80 Sofia, Beluga 88 and Olympia 76 next. For two or three nights aboard the cabin count decides: four en-suite cabins sleeping eight on Princess 78, W.J.Lip and Maritimus, and four cabins with five bathrooms on Beluga 88.

For a couple who want the yacht entirely to themselves, the S-line boats are sized and finished for six to eight rather than for a crowd. And for time under sail with eight guests, Sunreef 60 E-MOTION runs a standard eight-day itinerary, with shorter charters from three days.

What moves the price

The published figure is a starting rate for a day charter in low season. Season is the largest factor: high season runs November to April, and the peak from 20 December adds again. Route matters because fuel does, so on most of these yachts the rate for a distant island differs from a bay day, and both are on the boat's own page.

Guest count matters where a base rate covers ten or twelve people with a charge per person above that — on Technema 89 Say Yes, for example, the published rate covers twelve. National park fees are separate everywhere and paid per person on the day. Sunreef 60 E-MOTION is quoted per week or per short charter of three days and more, and does not follow this pattern.
