A morning half day (09:00–13:00) on Ella is from ฿27,820 for the whole boat with ten guests in the rate, and she carries forty, each guest above ten at a seasonal charge; on Calypso it is from ฿31,030 for ten, up to thirty-five; Satisfaction is from ฿39,000 for a three-hour sunset tour with twenty in the rate and takes up to forty at ฿1,000 per extra guest, from Ao Po Grand Marina. Seven knots: where a sailing catamaran day trip from Phuket goes, and where it does not

Almost all of them cruise at seven to eight knots, and that is the most important fact on this page: on a day trip these boats do not go to Phi Phi. From Chalong Pier the realistic day is Coral Island or Maiton, or the Racha islands, with snorkelling off the beach at each; from Ao Po Grand Marina it is Phang Nga Bay, Koh Hong, where inflatable canoes are hired on the spot to explore the lagoon, the Khai and Naka islands and the Koh Yao islands; from the west coast, its beaches and cliffs.
