Half a day or a full one, twenty-five aboard

A day on Sofia can be half a day. Mornings run 09:00 to 13:00 and afternoons 14:00 to 18:00: Coral Island with Promthep Cape, or Maiton, at ฿100,000; Racha Yai or Koh Khai at ฿110,000. A full day is either eight hours to Coral Island from ฿140,000 or nine hours pairing two places — Racha Yai with Racha Noi at ฿165,000, Phi Phi with Maiton at ฿175,000, Koh Hong in Phang Nga Bay with Naka at ฿180,000. Those are November-to-April rates; from 20 December to 20 January half days are not run and the Coral Island full day is ฿180,000. Twelve guests are in the rate and each one after that is ฿2,000, up to twenty-five, so twenty-five on the Coral Island full day come to ฿166,000, November to April. On Phi Phi, Phang Nga and Krabi routes, national park fees of ฿400 per person per day are added; nothing else is.

Twenty-five people need places to be, and there are several. One awning covers the whole flybridge — helm, the sofa along the rail, two soft modules, the table; there are no side curtains. The module beside the table, the one with the lifting lid, is a grill. On the bow a soft sunpad takes four or five, away from the group and the music. Shade is on every deck. From the aft deck the stern opens onto a wide platform with a long bench along it. Seating aboard is enough for a full twenty-five.

Saloon and aft deck sit on one level, so there is no step between the air conditioning and the open air. Inside, two sofas face each other under long windows on both sides; in Phang Nga Bay and at Phi Phi the limestone sits at eye level. The dining table is forward, under the sloping windscreen.

On a day charter all four cabins stay open, air conditioning running in them and in the saloon, and the four bathrooms too: somewhere to change out of a wet swimsuit, somewhere to put a child down. Children of any age, life jackets in their sizes; the rails carry no netting, so a toddler needs an adult within reach.

Bring your own drinks — we charge nothing for that; red wine is the one thing we ask you to leave ashore. Every charter includes soft drinks, fruit, tea and coffee, a case of beer and a bottle of Prosecco, towels, Wi-Fi, a JBL PartyBox 300, passenger insurance, fuel on the standard route and the toys: slide, floating pool, wakeboard, towable tubes, two SUP boards, snorkelling and fishing gear and a 5.8 m tender. Full days add a Thai lunch and one transfer vehicle for up to 10 guests; a second and a third car, ten guests each, are ฿2,000–3,000 per car.

The crew is captain, hostess, two deckhands and charter manager. Overnight she sleeps eight in four en-suite cabins, two king-size and two twin, with a private chef and all meals, from ฿360,000 for two days and one night. The hull is a 2004 Ferretti, refitted in 2025.
