Lunch, alcohol, water toys and the hotel transfer depend on the boat, and national park fees are paid separately unless the yacht's page lists them in the rate. What is included in every Horizon charter?

These apply to every boat in the catalogue, ours and partner boats alike.

• Captain and crew. No boat leaves without a licensed captain. Larger boats add deckhands, a hostess and a charter manager — the crew list is on each boat's page.
• Fuel for the agreed route. The programme you confirm at booking is what the fuel covers; where a yacht's page lists a fuel fee for the route, it is in the quote. A change of route or extra hours is agreed separately.
• Passenger insurance.
• Water, soft drinks and ice.
• Tea and coffee, fresh fruit.
• Snorkelling gear — masks and fins for the group.
• Life jackets in adult and child sizes.
• Towels.
• Free viewing before you book. Any boat in the catalogue — including partner boats — can be viewed in person before you pay a deposit.
• A charter manager on each of our yachts — Technema 89 Say Yes, Beluga 88 and Ferretti 80 Sofia.
• Final price in Thai baht. The figure you receive is what you pay: a fuel fee, where the boat's page lists one, is already in it, and no service fee is added afterwards.

What depends on the boat?

Beyond the list above, inclusions are set by each boat. Two 60-foot motor yachts can differ on lunch, on drinks and on what floats behind the boat. The boat's own page is the source — look for the sections "What is included in the charter?" and "What is not included?"

Typical items that vary:

• Hotel transfer. Beluga 88 includes one vehicle for up to ten guests on every charter, Say Yes and Sofia on a full day only; the Boat Lagoon boats, the Myra, the OO7 and the SUAY include a return transfer from your hotel; the Chalong speedboats, the Ocean Pearl and the Astrea 42 do not. The boat's page is exact.
• Lunch. Included on full-day charters on most boats; generally not on half days. Some boats offer lunch as a paid extra.
• Alcohol. Beer on some boats; Prosecco on a few. Premium alcohol is normally brought by guests or ordered in advance.
• SUP boards, tender, water slide, floating pool. Common on larger yachts, not universal.
• VAT at 7 %. The same on every boat: it is already inside every rate on this site.
• Water toys with a charge — a Seabob, a jet ski, an underwater scooter — are priced on the boat's page.
• Chef and hostess. Standard on larger yachts, not on speedboats.
• Wi-Fi and a sound system. Listed where present.

Examples of how differently boats are set up:

• Technema 89 Say Yes — Thai lunch on full days, a case of beer, water slide, floating pool, two SUP boards, tender; the underwater scooter is ฿10,000 a day.
• Beluga 88 — lunch on day charters, a bottle of Prosecco and a case of beer, a 4 m tender, a SUP board.

• Limpopo Axopar 28 — a speedboat: the day is about speed and the water, not the galley.

What is not included, and paid separately?

Three things are usually outside the charter price:

• National park fees, where the route enters a park — Phi Phi, Krabi and Phang Nga Bay among them. Paid per person, in cash, on the day, except on boats whose page lists them in the rate. The rate is set by the park, not by us.
• Optional extras and relocation. Paid water toys, a private chef, catering beyond the standard lunch, and moving a boat to a different departure marina.
• Lunch on short charters — check the boat's page.

Can I view the yacht before booking?

Yes — any yacht in the catalogue, free of charge, before you pay anything. Tell us which boats you are choosing between and we arrange a time at the marina. It is the easiest way to settle the question of whether a boat is right for a group, and it takes about half an hour.

Frequently asked questions

How much are the national park fees and who pays them?

On most boats they are paid separately, in cash on the day, per guest, at the rate the park sets, with children at a reduced rate, and where a yacht's rate includes them, its page says so. Phi Phi, Ao Phang Nga, the Similans and the landing at Banana Beach on Coral Island each have a separate fee; the parks revise their rates from time to time, so we confirm the current figures with your quote. The boat's page shows which fee applies to its usual routes.

Is lunch included in a yacht charter in Phuket?

On most boats lunch is included on full-day charters and generally not on half days; a few boats offer it as a paid extra. The pattern differs even between similar yachts: Say Yes serves a Thai lunch on full days, Ferretti 80 Sofia includes lunch, and a speedboat such as Limpopo Axopar 28 is about speed and the water rather than the galley. Catering beyond the standard lunch, and a private chef where the boat carries one, are quoted separately.

Is alcohol included on the boat?

Rarely as a full bar. Water, soft drinks, ice, tea and coffee are on every boat; beer comes with some yachts and Prosecco with a few: Beluga 88 includes a bottle of Prosecco and a case of beer, and Say Yes and Sofia each carry a case of beer. Premium alcohol is normally brought by the guests or ordered in advance, and the terms for bringing drinks aboard depend on the boat and are confirmed before booking.

Is the hotel transfer included?

It depends on the boat, and each yacht's page says whether a transfer is in the rate. Beluga 88 includes one vehicle for up to ten guests on every charter, Say Yes and Sofia on a full day only; the Boat Lagoon boats, the Myra, the OO7 and the SUAY include a return transfer from your hotel; the Chalong speedboats, the Ocean Pearl and the Astrea 42 do not. Either way, be at the pier 15 minutes before departure; at Chalong Pier the captain handles the passenger registration.
