Solar power, a heated tub on the bow, and quiet at anchor

Solar panels power Beluga 88 — the whole boat, the air conditioning included. No generator has to run through a long lunch stop, so the anchorage stays quiet — the thing you notice on a full day out.

Twelve guests are in the day rate and up to twenty-two come aboard. In low season, May to October, a full day is ฿214,000 and each guest past twelve is ฿3,000, so a full boat is ฿244,000 — around ฿11,000 a head, with lunch, the transfer and the crew already inside it. From November to April the rate is ฿267,500, and from 20 December to 20 January ฿299,600. Bring your own spirits; there is no corkage. The one exception is red wine, which stays ashore. The only thing added is the national park fee, ฿400 per person per day.

The bow is what she gets booked for. A spa tub is set into the deck in a wooden surround, heated, and the heating is in the charter rate rather than an extra — it runs on day charters, not only overnight. Ahead of it the ground tackle, then open water; side decks with double rails run both sides.

Above it, the flybridge is furnished across its full width in Italian outdoor pieces: a corner sofa and a second long one, armchairs on white frames with wooden slats, a low table, two full-length loungers, a counter with a sink. Fabric curtains draw down both sides. There is shade here, as there is on every deck.

Lunch is served a deck lower, on the aft deck, and it is included on every day charter: a dark wood table under the deck above, chairs around it, a bench built into the bulwark, and room to sit down without crowding.

At anchor everything happens off the stern platform, which is fixed rather than folding. An inflatable pool goes in the water alongside, and with it a slide, a towable donut, two paddleboards, snorkelling and fishing gear and a 4 m tender. Children: any age, life jackets in their sizes, and the rails are open rather than netted, so a small one needs an adult nearby.

The four cabins stay open all day with the air conditioning running, which is where people go once they have had enough sun, and with five bathrooms a wet swimsuit is never a queue. Overnight she sleeps eight — two king, one queen, one twin. A chef for a multi-day charter is ฿10,000, and menu ingredients are ฿1,050 or ฿1,750 per person depending on the menu; two days with one night start at ฿428,000.

Nine knots cruising makes her a boat for the bays, and she leaves Ao Po Grand Marina for five of them: Phang Nga Bay and Koh Hong, Naka and Khai, Krabi with Koh Hong and the Four Islands, Racha Yai and Maiton, Phi Phi. Charters run between 09:00 and 19:00. The crew is five, with a charter manager aboard every charter, and lunch, the return transfer, a bottle of Prosecco and a case of beer, soft drinks, fruit, tea and coffee, towels, Wi-Fi and passenger insurance are in the price. Built in 2014, refitted in January 2026. A 50% deposit holds the date, and cancelling 30 days ahead returns it in full.
