About this boat
Maha Bhetra was designed by Ed Tuttle, the American architect behind the Aman resorts, and once you know that the boat reads differently. The wide teak-laden saloon, the restraint of the detailing, the way the sundeck is composed rather than merely fitted out — these are hotel-architecture instincts applied to a ninety-foot hull, and there is nothing else like her in the Phuket charter fleet. She is Thai-built, which shows in the craftsmanship below: three identical double cabins of twenty square metres each, so nobody gets the lesser room, each with an en-suite bathroom, a compartmentalised shower and WC, a vanity basin and two wardrobes. Twelve guests by day, six overnight, a crew of five.
Her cruising speed is eight knots — the slowest in the catalogue — and the itineraries reflect it honestly: Khai and Naka, Phang Nga Bay, Maiton and Koh Hong Krabi as day charters, with multi-day trips into the Andaman Sea including the Similan Islands from four days. Fishing gear, a kayak, a paddleboard and snorkelling equipment are aboard. Two hundred two thousand baht. Charter her if the vessel itself is part of what you are buying and you are not in a hurry.
Do not, if your day depends on reaching a distant island or on water toys. A note on the three identical cabins, because it is unusual and deliberate: charter groups normally negotiate who takes the master and who takes the bunk room, and here that conversation does not happen. For two couples travelling together, or a family with adult children, it removes the one awkwardness that multi-day charters usually contain.

How do you book and cancel?
- A 50% deposit confirms the booking.
- The balance is paid on the day of the charter.
- Cancellation 30 days or more before the charter: 100% refund of the deposit.
- Cancellation 29 days or less before the charter: the deposit is not refunded.

What are the charter hours?
- Boarding at 10:00; disembarkation after sunset on the last day.
- Please be on time — the yacht returns at the agreed hour, and a late start shortens the trip rather than extending it.
- Programmes and timing depend on weather and sea conditions. If the weather makes the planned route unworkable, we agree what to do with you individually — there is no single fixed rule, and the options depend on the boat, the date and how far the plan has to change.
- If you ask to change the departure point, the relocation is agreed separately — the boat is berthed where it is berthed, and moving it costs time and fuel.
