About this boat
There is a working gramophone aboard. Mami Wata is a Halvorsen Cruiser from 1954, restored and refitted in 2023, and she is the only genuinely historic vessel in this fleet — polished teak decks, a warm wood-panelled saloon, and the particular quiet of a hull that predates fibreglass entirely. Chartering her is a different proposition from chartering a modern yacht: the appeal is atmosphere, not amenities. At just over fifteen metres she carries twelve guests by day and six overnight in two cabins with en-suite facilities, run by a crew of three. Eight knots cruising, twelve at most.
From Royal Phuket Marina her programme runs from a relaxed three-hour sunset cruise — a format that suits her better than any other boat here — to full days in Phang Nga Bay and the Krabi islands, and multi-day overnight charters for those who want to live aboard something with a history. A kayak, a paddleboard and snorkelling gear are aboard. Forty-one thousand baht. She is the right choice for a wedding, an anniversary, a photoshoot or a sunset that is meant to be memorable rather than energetic. She is the wrong one for a group that wants speed, water toys, or a modern interior — and anyone booking her expecting the latter will be disappointed by exactly what makes her special.
Two things worth understanding before you book a boat this old. Restoration work of this standard is ongoing rather than finished, so small imperfections are part of the character rather than signs of neglect. And a wooden hull moves and creaks in a way modern boats do not, which most guests find reassuring and a few find unfamiliar.

How do you book and cancel?
- A 50% deposit confirms the booking.
- The balance is paid on the day of the charter.
- Cancellation 30 days or more before the charter: 100% refund of the deposit.
- Cancellation 29 days or less before the charter: the deposit is not refunded.

- Cash, bank transfer to the company account, or credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay) or USDT.
- Accepted currencies: Thai baht, US dollars and Russian roubles.
What are the charter hours?
- Day charters 09:00–17:00 or 10:00–18:00; overnight charters board at 10:00 and disembark at 18:30 on the last day.
- Please be on time — the yacht returns at the agreed hour, and a late start shortens the trip rather than extending it.
- Programmes and timing depend on weather and sea conditions. If the weather makes the planned route unworkable, we agree what to do with you individually — there is no single fixed rule, and the options depend on the boat, the date and how far the plan has to change.
- If you ask to change the departure point, the relocation is agreed separately — the boat is berthed where it is berthed, and moving it costs time and fuel.
