What the day looks like
A private charter from Phuket to Phi Phi is a full day on one boat with nobody else aboard. Most groups leave Chalong Pier between nine and ten, cross in about an hour and a half on a fast hull or rather longer on a motor yacht, and spend the day between Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, Monkey Beach and the quieter sand at Nui and Bamboo. Khai Nok often goes in as the last stop on the way home.
The difference from a group excursion is not comfort, it is control of the clock. The popular bays fill by the middle of the day, and an hour's shift in the schedule changes the whole day. On a private charter you set the order and the length of every stop.

On Technema 89 Say Yes and Ferretti 80 Sofia the ฿175,000 is the high-season figure for the nine-hour Phi Phi plus Maiton day; the low-season rate on those two is quoted per enquiry. On the Azimut Atlantis 50 adding Bamboo Island carries a fuel surcharge of ฿20,000.
The sailing catamarans Ella, Bohemian and Calypso do not run Phi Phi. Their cards cover Coral, Maiton, Racha, Promthep Cape and the Khai islands. Seven knots is not enough for this crossing as a day trip.
The guest caps are real
On most routes the F1 takes twenty and the Sea Explorer thirty. On Phi Phi the F1 is licensed for fifteen and the Sea Explorer for twenty. This is a licensing and comfort limit rather than a suggestion, so a group of eighteen planning Phi Phi should take the Sea Explorer, the Indigo 53 Super Mario or a motor yacht rather than the F1. On every other route the full numbers apply.

There is no half-day Phi Phi programme on any boat in the fleet.
Speed decides how much of the day is ashore
Speed matters more here than length. The Azimut Atlantis 50 cruises at twenty knots, the Sea Explorer at seventeen, the Indigo 53 Super Mario at sixteen and the F1 at fifteen to seventeen. Ferretti 80 Sofia holds fourteen and Technema 89 Say Yes eleven, which is why their Phi Phi day is planned as nine hours rather than eight: an earlier start, and fewer but longer stops. What the yachts give in exchange is shade, a saloon and a proper foredeck.

There is no national park fee on the standard Phi Phi programme; the Maya Bay fee applies only where a landing is made, and the crew will say so when the plan is set.
The stops

- Monkey Beach — shoreline and wildlife.
- Nui and Bamboo Beach — the quieter sand.
- Khai Nok — often the last stop before the run home.
Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island lie the other way and do not fit this day; they are a separate charter from Ao Po Grand Marina.
Seasons, with dates
Low season May to October carries the starting rates. High season November to April. Peak starts on 20 December. Its end date is set per yacht and runs from mid-January to the end of February, so read it off the rate table on the boat's page. A few boats publish a single all-year rate with a peak surcharge and no low-to-high split at all. High season is roughly a quarter above low across the fleet, peak adds more again, and there is no separate New Year surcharge on top of peak.

Is it suitable with children? Yes. Life jackets are aboard on every charter. Tell us in advance if anyone needs help boarding or you are travelling with a small child, so the crew can prepare the boarding and the tender.
