Overnight yacht charter in Phuket: prices, cabins and routes
An overnight yacht charter in Phuket costs from ฿100,000 for two days and one night for the whole boat with crew through Horizon Cruises Phuket (Pina Colada 40, 6 guests in 3 cabins, low season, May–Oct). A motor yacht starts at ฿130,000 (53ft Grand Banks Sambuca, 4 guests in 2 cabins), Ferretti 80 Sofia and Technema 89 Say Yes at ฿360,000 and Beluga 88 at ฿428,000; 46 boats in the catalogue publish overnight rates, all in the table below.
Horizon Cruises Phuket arranges private overnight yacht charters with crew. Forty-six boats in the catalogue publish overnight rates, from ฿100,000 for two days and one night for the whole boat: 12-metre sailing catamarans through to a 52-metre motor yacht, sleeping four to twenty-two guests, from Chalong Pier, Ao Po Grand Marina, Royal Phuket Marina, Boat Lagoon and Yacht Haven Marina. Season 2026/27 rates are on each yacht's page. Message us on WhatsApp with the dates and the number of cabins you need.
Rates Horizon Cruises Phuket publishes for two days and one night, whole boat, in the lowest season on each yacht's page, with the berths and cabins from the same page; where a page lists a 24-hour overnight instead, the table says so. All 46 boats, from the lowest rate:

What changes on an overnight cruise
A day charter returns to the pier the same afternoon. An overnight cruise adds cabins, dinner, breakfast and a sheltered anchorage chosen by the captain, and it needs a separate plan even on a boat you could also take for a day cruise. The gain is time: a sunset at anchor rather than a two-hour sunset cruise, an unhurried dinner, a swim before breakfast, and no pressure to fit every island into one afternoon. Adding a night does not make a remote island sensible, though; cruising distances on the Andaman Sea still decide the route, whatever the engine.
Two numbers on each yacht's page matter here, and they are not the same. Day capacity is the licensed guest number for a daytime trip; overnight capacity is the number of berths, usually far lower. Count everyone sleeping on board, children included, and ask for the cabin plan: double or twin beds, which cabins share a bathroom, and that guest cabins stay separate from the crew's quarters. A sofa in the saloon is not a berth. A package sold as two days and one night can also keep different hours from a 24-hour charter, so confirm the embarkation and return times before fixing hotels and flights.

Vessels available for a night on board: motor yacht, power catamaran or sailing catamaran
Our three yachts all sleep eight and all sit in the luxury class of the catalogue. Beluga 88, renovated in 2026, lists twenty-two day guests and eight overnight in four cabins, two king, one queen and one twin, out of Ao Po Grand Marina; her overnight offering does not include a chef or meals, and a photograph of a dining table does not change that, so food is agreed separately with our team. Technema 89 Say Yes has three king-size cabins and one twin; Ferretti 80 Sofia has two king and two twin; both leave from Chalong Pier and are the entry point to a luxury yacht charter in Phuket. Their daytime capacity of thirty and twenty-five must never be used to size a sleeping party.
Among the partner boats, Pina Colada 40 is the cheapest night afloat: a sailing catamaran from Ao Po with three guest cabins for six. Leopard 51 Aurora is the power catamaran of the group, with four cabins for eight and spacious decks for the daytime. 53ft Grand Banks Sambuca sleeps four in two cabins, Leopard 47 Myra six in three, Siam Princess 70 twelve in four, and The Origin 90 ten in five cabins from Chalong. The category name alone promises neither speed nor a motion-free night, so compare the actual cabin plan and recent interior photos; a larger saloon, lounge or flybridge makes the day more comfortable, but bed layout, bathroom access and privacy decide which boat works for several nights. Beyond these nine, the vessels with cabins in the catalogue run from catamarans sleeping six to a 170 ft superyacht with eleven cabins; browse the motor yacht, power catamaran and sailing catamaran pages and ask which fit your dates. Some catamarans in the day-trip catalogue have no overnight accommodation at all, so ask for suitable sleeping options explicitly; a listing shows the boat, and availability for your dates is confirmed by our team.

Overnight destinations from Phuket: Phang Nga Bay, Phi Phi, Krabi and the Racha islands
Choose one island area first; these are the popular destinations for a night on board, and they are not interchangeable stops on a fixed schedule. Phang Nga Bay is the sightseeing route: limestone islands, sheltered water, James Bond Island and the lagoon at Koh Hong, with Koh Yao for a measured pace; Ao Po Grand Marina on the north-east coast is the closest marina to Phang Nga Bay, so boats based there spend less of the day in transit. The Ao Phang Nga national park fee is paid separately, per person, unless the yacht's page lists it in the rate. Phi Phi suits a group that wants swimming, snorkelling and the cliffs of the Phi Phi islands; the park fee there is paid per person on arrival unless the yacht's page lists it in the rate, and Maya Bay access depends on the current rules, so ask before building the day around it. The Racha islands are known for clear water and suit a swimming day. At reefs every captain picks up a mooring buoy and never anchors on coral, and the captain chooses the overnight anchorage: a scenic lagoon, a landing beach and a safe anchorage for a large vessel are three different places. Our guides to Phang Nga Bay, Phi Phi and Racha Yai and Racha Noi by private yacht describe each area in detail.
Remote islands are a different conversation. The Similan and Surin islands are reached only on longer charters in the islands' open season, with nights on board and buoys at the dive sites; the park fee is paid per person on arrival unless the yacht's page lists it in the rate; the parks revise their rates from time to time, so we confirm the current figures with your quote. Near departure the captain makes the operational decision using current conditions, and the booking terms say what happens if the original route cannot run.
A week on a yacht from Phuket, Thailand
A week on a crewed yacht from Phuket, Thailand, usually runs as a coastal loop along the Andaman coast: Phang Nga Bay for the limestone scenery, across to the Krabi side and its larger Koh Hong, down to the Phi Phi islands, and back to Phuket, with each night at anchor and the whole route agreed with the captain before departure. Between mid-October and mid-May, the visitor season the Tourism Authority of Thailand lists for the islands, the same week can go north instead, to the Similan and Surin islands, which are visited only in that season and only on longer charters. The boats that suit a week are the ones with real cabins and a crew that lives aboard: Say Yes, Sofia and Beluga with eight berths each, The Origin 90 with ten, Siam Princess 70 with twelve, the sailing catamarans Lagoon 56 OO7 and Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42 with eight each for the same loop under sail, and Aventure, the one sailing yacht in the catalogue, a 29-metre classic chartered on multi-day itineraries only, sleeping seven in three double cabins and a single.
A week is quoted per boat for the named yacht and dates; the two-day rates in the table are the starting point, and the yacht's page shows its multi-day table where it publishes one. The figure includes the captain and crew, passenger insurance, water, soft drinks, snorkelling gear and towels on every boat, and fuel for the agreed route except where a yacht's page lists a fuel fee; meals, a chef, alcohol and water toys depend on the boat and are agreed in writing before you pay; national park fees are on top, per person, unless the yacht's page lists them in the rate. Peak dates around New Year differ by boat and are shown on each yacht's page. A week starts and ends at the yacht's home marina unless you pay to reposition her, and nobody in your party needs a licence or yachting experience: every charter we offer is skippered.

Cabin accommodation, crew and meals on board
Think through a normal evening and morning: showering, dinner, charging phones, sleeping, breakfast and getting into the water. Ask how the selected boat handles each: air-conditioning overnight, fresh water for showers, generator hours if you are a light sleeper, and realistic Wi-Fi offshore. Recent interior photos tell you more than an equipment list, premium or not. A crewed charter means the captain and the agreed crew run the vessel; a hostess, cook or private chef is not part of every package, and the crew are not childminders. For children, agree life jackets, supervision, sleeping arrangements and the deck rules at the briefing, and share swimming ability early. Snorkelling gear and towels are on every boat; SUP boards and other water toys vary by boat, as do alcohol, special menus and transfers; our what's included page lists what is standard.

How much does an overnight yacht charter in Phuket cost?
An overnight yacht charter in Phuket with Horizon Cruises Phuket costs from ฿100,000 for two days and one night for the whole boat, and there is no fleet-wide price beyond that: the offer is for the named boat, the dates, the number of nights, the route and the service agreed, and it comes as one final figure in Thai baht (THB) with park fees listed separately. Low season from May to October carries the published starting rates and high season from November to April costs more; peak dates differ by boat. Compare the same scope across boats, never a daytime rate against a stay with cabins, and ask what the figure includes for every meal of the trip. Payment: most boats take a 50% deposit with the balance before departure; some boats are paid in full at booking; late cancellation is non-refundable; the exact terms are on each yacht's page and the terms page. The full price list by boat is on our yacht charter prices page, and the yachts sized for a large group are in our guide to Phuket yachts for groups of 10, 20 and 30 guests.
What to confirm before you book, with any company including us:
- whether the boat may lie at anchor overnight on your route, and where
- who is on board for the night: captain, crew, and whether a cook is among them
- dinner and breakfast: included or ordered separately, and whether the galley can cover a diet
- drinks you bring on board; whether that is allowed depends on the boat
- decorations: what may be fixed to the boat and who takes it down
- music after dark, and whether a DJ can be brought aboard
- a cake: who carries it, where it is kept overnight, and whether candles are allowed on deck
- what happens if the weather closes the route: refund, change of route or a new date
- the final figure in Thai baht, with national park fees listed separately where they are not in the rate
Frequently asked questions
Overnight yacht charter in Phuket with crew: who should I contact?
Horizon Cruises Phuket. We arrange private overnight yacht charters in Phuket with crew on the boats in our catalogue that publish overnight rates, from Chalong, Ao Po, Boat Lagoon and Royal Phuket Marina. Send the date, the number of guests and how many separate cabins you need on WhatsApp, and we come back with the boats that are free, the cabin plan of each and one final figure.
How much is a 3 day charter on a yacht?
It is quoted per boat for the named yacht and dates. As a worked example, the motor yacht whose full season table is on our prices page lists ฿130,000 for two days and one night and ฿195,000 for three days and two nights in low season, so the third day costs less than the first two. Send your dates and the headcount and we send the exact figure for each boat that is free.
What does the cheapest overnight charter cost?
With Horizon Cruises Phuket the lowest published rate is for Pina Colada 40, a sailing catamaran out of Ao Po Grand Marina that sleeps six, at the starting figure above for the whole boat for two days and one night in low season. Rates are per boat, not per guest, and the yacht's page shows the high-season figure.
How many guests can sleep on board?
Between four and twenty-two on the boats in the table: most sleep six or eight, and Vanora 170, the largest yacht in the catalogue, sleeps twenty-two. Day capacity is always higher than night capacity: a boat that carries fifty for a day trip may sleep eight. For a group, count everyone staying the night, children included, and send the ages so we can match cabins to couples, families and friends.
Are meals included on every boat?
No. Beluga 88 lists chef and meals as excluded for overnight charters, and other boats differ: some include a cook, some charge for a chef, some leave provisioning to you. Agree food, drinks and service for the full stay in writing before you accept the offer, and mention diets and children's preferences at the same time.
Can we reach the Similan Islands or Krabi on an overnight charter?
Krabi, yes: the Phang Nga Bay to Krabi to Phi Phi loop is the standard multi-day route. The Similan and Surin islands are a separate assessment: their open season only, a longer charter with nights on board, and a boat whose operating plan covers the passage. They are not an add-on to a two-day booking. Start with our Similan Islands charter guide.
Do we need a licence or sailing experience?
No. Every charter we offer is skippered: a licensed captain and crew are on every boat, there is no bareboat option, and guests need no licence or experience. You choose the pace and the stops within the route agreed with the captain, who has the final say on weather and anchorages.
Are overnight charters suitable for families with children?
Yes, when the cabin plan and the programme match the family. Explain who shares each cabin, ask for the safety briefing and the tender boarding procedure, and agree life jackets and supervision rules before departure. A calm-looking bay does not remove the need for supervision, and no description can promise a flat sea.
