About this boat
Of the three sailing catamarans working out of Chalong Pier, Calypso is the one with a flybridge — and on a sailing cat that is unusual enough to be the reason to choose her. The upper deck gives a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree view from above the rig, which changes the experience of a slow passage entirely: instead of watching the water go by at deck level, the group sits above everything with the islands opening up ahead. She is a Lagoon from 2005, forty-four feet, taking thirty-five guests by day with a crew of three. Air conditioning in the saloon is available as a paid option at 3,000 baht, which on a Phuket afternoon is worth more than any feature list suggests.
Two day cabins and two bathrooms with a freshwater shower, a large foredeck with trampolines, a Bluetooth system with a JBL party speaker, solar power and both mains and low-voltage outlets. Seven knots cruising means the destinations are the near ones from Chalong: Racha Yai, Coral Island and Maiton. Snorkelling gear, a paddleboard and a kayak are included, and the boat starts at twenty-nine thousand baht for a low-season morning at Coral Island. Choose her over the other two catamarans if the flybridge and the cool saloon matter; choose one of them if you would rather save the difference.
One practical consequence of the flybridge on a sailing catamaran: it adds weight up high, so she is a touch more sensitive to wind than the flatter cats beside her. The crew allows for it, and the trade — a shaded upper deck with a view over the whole rig — is one most guests would make again.

Extra Guest Surcharge
- Prices include up to 10 guests. Additional guest surcharge: November 1 – April 30 (High Season): ฿1,000 per adult, ฿700 per child (ages 4–11); December 20 – February 28 (Peak Season): ฿1,200 per adult, ฿800 per child (ages 4–11); May 1 – October 31 (Low Season): ฿800 per adult, ฿500 per child (ages 4–11). This applies to both Half Day and Full Day charters.
How do you book and cancel?
- A 50% deposit confirms the booking.
- The balance is paid on the day of the charter.
- Cancellation 30 days or more before the charter: 100% refund of the deposit.
- Cancellation 29 days or less before the charter: the deposit is not refunded.
Payment
- Cash, bank transfer to the company account, or credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay) or USDT.
- Accepted currencies: Thai baht, US dollars and Russian roubles.
What are the charter hours?
- Charter times are between 09:00 and 19:00.
- Please be on time — the yacht returns at the agreed hour, and a late start shortens the trip rather than extending it.
- Programmes and timing depend on weather and sea conditions. If the weather makes the planned route unworkable, we agree what to do with you individually — there is no single fixed rule, and the options depend on the boat, the date and how far the plan has to change.
- If you ask to change the departure point, the relocation is agreed separately — the boat is berthed where it is berthed, and moving it costs time and fuel.
