Why this is the day most groups start with
Coral Island and Koh Maiton sit close to Phuket's south coast, and that changes the arithmetic of the day. The crossing is short, so the route does not demand a fast hull: a sailing catamaran at seven knots and a motor yacht at twenty both work. It is the one Chalong route where the whole fleet is available, which is also why the price range is the widest we publish for a single day.
The format is flexible in a way the longer routes are not. Half a day is enough to swim, snorkel and be back; a full day makes sense if you want both islands without hurrying.

Coco and Tahaa publish one standard rate for the whole year outside the peak weeks; the full day covers fifteen guests, with ฿1,000 for each guest above that, up to twenty.

How the day runs
Out of Chalong, then Coral or Maiton first depending on the slot. Coral Island is known for white sand, clear water and activity on the beach. Maiton is the quieter of the two: there is no landing, and people snorkel straight off the boat.
What groups usually add: snorkelling over the reefs, swimming and beach time, a kayak or paddleboard where the boat carries them, and Promthep Cape, on an afternoon half day or a full day. Our sunset charters run two to three hours depending on the boat, carry no transfer, and are not scheduled in the peak period.
Seasons, with dates
Low season May to October carries the starting rates. High season November to April. The peak weeks around the year end are priced separately: the dates differ by boat, so read them off the rate table on the boat's page. A few boats publish a single all-year rate with a peak surcharge and no low-to-high split at all. Across the fleet high season is roughly a quarter above low, and peak adds more again. No separate New Year surcharge on top of peak.

A full day starts at ฿34,900 on the sailing catamarans Coco and Tahaa and runs to ฿140,000 on either of our yachts. A morning half day to Coral Island (09:00–13:00) starts at ฿23,900 on the long-tail Kiri, ฿25,900 on Coco and Tahaa and ฿27,820 on Ella. Half day or full day?
The crossing is short, so both work. Half a day suits swimming and snorkelling; a full day is for seeing both islands without hurrying. Half days are sold in the peak period on some boats and not on others — the rate table on the boat’s page is the answer.
Is it suitable with children?
Yes. The boat is yours alone, life jackets are aboard on every charter, and the short crossing is easier than the long routes. Tell us in advance if anyone needs help boarding.
Is lunch included?
On some boats yes, on others it is quoted separately. It is the one item that is not standard across the fleet, so ask about the boat you pick.
Can we visit both Coral Island and Maiton in one trip?
Yes, and most groups do. The eight-hour format covers Maiton and Coral Island with time to snorkel at one and use the beach at the other, and the 4.5-hour afternoon format fits both islands into a half-day slot. Which island comes first depends on the slot you book. Can we go ashore at Maiton?
No. Maiton is private property and access to the island is suspended, so the stop there happens in the water: the snorkelling is straight off the boat, and Maiton is the quieter of the two islands. Coral Island is where the beach time and the watersports are, and those activities are paid ashore.
What can we do at Coral Island besides swimming?
Parasailing, banana boat rides, sea walking and diving all run from the beach at Coral Island and are paid ashore on the day. From the boat you can snorkel over the reefs, and where the boat carries a kayak or a paddleboard those are yours to use. Tell Horizon Cruises Phuket in advance if the group wants the beach activities, so the day is planned with a longer stop at Coral Island.
Can we add Promthep Cape or a sunset to the Coral Island day?
Yes. Coco and Tahaa pair Banana Beach on Coral Island with Promthep Cape on an afternoon half day or an eight-hour day, and on the sailing catamaran Ella the longest format, 8.75 hours, adds Promthep Cape to Maiton and Coral from ฿40,125 in low season. Sunset charters are a separate format of two to three hours, carry no transfer and are not scheduled in the peak period.
