A three-day, two-night private yacht charter from Phuket costs from ฿150,000 for the whole boat with crew on a sailing catamaran (Pina Colada 40, six guests in three cabins, low season) and from ฿195,000 on a motor yacht (53 ft Grand Banks Sambuca, four guests overnight), rising to ฿540,000 on the 80 and 89 ft Sofia and Say Yes and ฿1,400,000 on the 130 ft Westport. The standard route is the loop from Phang Nga Bay to Krabi to Phi Phi and back, two nights at anchor, with the itinerary below as the base and the captain setting the anchorages for the weather.

The itinerary, day by day

Day 1, Phang Nga Bay. Board at Ao Po Grand Marina on the north-east coast (or at Chalong Pier or Royal Phuket Marina for the boats berthed there) in the morning and cross into Phang Nga Bay: Koh Hong and its lagoon by kayak, James Bond Island (Khao Phing Kan) and the stilt village of Koh Panyee, lunch on board. The first night is spent at anchor among the limestone islands of the bay, dinner on deck.

Day 2, Krabi. East along the bay to the Krabi side: Koh Hong (Krabi), the larger one with the white beach and the inner lagoon, then the Four Islands of Krabi, Poda, Koh Gai, Tup and Railay. The second night at anchor off Railay or near Koh Hong, the sheltered side chosen by the captain.

Day 3, Phi Phi and home. South to Phi Phi Leh for Maya Bay and the Pileh lagoon before the day boats arrive, Phi Phi Don for lunch and swimming, and the run back to Phuket to be alongside by the evening.

How the price works

The rate is for the whole boat for three days and two nights with captain and crew, and the third day costs less than the first two: on the boats that publish both, 2 days / 1 night and 3 days / 2 nights, the second night adds less than the first. Guests on an overnight charter are limited by cabins, not by the day-trip capacity: Say Yes takes 30 for a day and 8 overnight. On Say Yes, Sofia and Beluga 88, our three yachts, one rule applies to the peak dates. Bookings for peak-season dates (20 December – 20 January) are non-refundable. The payment terms for every boat are on its card. National park fees are charged per person: on some boats included in the rate, otherwise at the rate confirmed with the quote.
